Geneviève began her Suzuki journey at the age of 2 with Suzuki cello teacher Jo-Anne Goyder in Waterloo; Ontario. After her formative years of study; including summers at various institutes around North America; Geneviève attended Wilfrid Laurier University; where she studied with renowned cellist Paul Pulford; and obtained an Honours Bachelor of Music; a Bachelor of Arts in French; and a Diploma in Chamber Music. Born and raised in Dalian, China, Ivan began his life-long passion for the violin at the age of five, under the tutelage of his father, a guest concertmaster and pedagogue. Ellen Berry has taught piano for over 45 years; and has built a busy private Suzuki studio in Cambridge; Ontario. She has served on the boards of the Suzuki Association of the Americas; the Suzuki Association of Ontario; and the Ontario Registered Music Teachers? Association; and was the Director of the Southwestern Ontario Suzuki Institute (SOSI) in Waterloo; Ontario for many years. She enjoys learning to play the violin; and has two grown Suzuki children.
